The Flexible Jaw Coupling uses plum-shaped elastic elements to be placed between the two half-coupling claws to realize the connection of the two half-couplings.
Flexible Jaw Coupling are well balanced and suitable for high speed applications, but cannot handle large deflections, especially axial deflections. Larger eccentricities and declinations create larger bearing loads than other servo couplings. Another issue of concern is the failure of the plum coupling. Once the elastomer is damaged or fails, the torque transmission is not interrupted, and the metal claws of the two bushings mesh together to continue to transmit torque, which is likely to cause problems in the system. Choosing the right elastomer according to the actual application is a great advantage of this coupling.

Professional coupling manufacturers teach you the correct installation skills of Flexible Jaw Coupling. The use of Flexible Jaw Coupling is becoming more and more extensive, but many users are not very clear about some details of the installation of Flexible Jaw Coupling. A brief introduction:
1. Before installation, check whether the two shafts of the prime mover and the working machine are concentric, whether there is wrapping paper and bumps on the surfaces of the two shafts, whether there are debris in the inner holes of the two half couplings of the Flexible Jaw Coupling, and whether the edges of the inner holes are If there are bumps, the shaft and half coupling should be cleaned up, and the bumps should be treated with a fine file. Then check whether the diameter and length of the inner hole of the two half couplings are consistent with the diameter and length of the shaft extension of the prime mover and the working machine. In general selection, it is better to let the length of the half coupling at the end of the prime mover and the working machine be 10-30mm less than the length of the shaft extension.
2. In order to facilitate installation, it is best to preheat the two half-couplings in a 120--150 incubator or oil tank, so that the size of the inner hole is enlarged and it is easy to install. After installation, ensure that the shaft head cannot protrude from the end face of the half coupling, preferably flush. Detect the distance between the two halves of the coupling: measure the readings of 3--4 points along the inner sides of the flanges of the half-couplings to take the average value, and the sum of the measured dimensions of the extended section and the two diaphragm groups, the two The error is controlled within the range of 0-0.4mm.
3. Alignment: use a dial indicator to detect the runout of the end face and outer circle of the flanges of the two halves of the coupling. When the outer circle of the flange is less than 250mm, the runout value should not be greater than 0.05mm; when the outer circle of the flange is greater than 250mm , the runout value should not be greater than 0.08.
4. Install bolts: Insert the bolts from the outside of the small hole of the flange, and pass through the outside of the large hole of the other flange. Put on the buffer sleeve, elastic washer, twist the nut, and tighten the nut with a wrench. If it is uncomfortable to install or dismantle and replace, without damaging the shaft and half-coupling, it is better to rotate freely after installation.
5. Instructions for the operator: Before starting the equipment, check whether the nut of the Flexible Jaw Coupling is loose or fall off. If necessary, tighten the nut with a wrench in time.
