High performance and long period RA series Flexible Jaw Coupling for hydraulic machinery

The RA series flexible jaw coupling is a widely used coupling, also called jaw coupling, which is composed of two metal jaw discs and an elastic body. The two metal jaw discs are generally 45-gauge steel, but aluminum alloys are also useful when sensitive loads are required.

The RA series flexible jaw coupling is processed by machining methods such as turning, milling, and broaching, and then undergoes an overall heat treatment. In order to ensure sufficient mechanical strength, there is also a jaw disc on the market that is a casting, which can be produced in large quantities and eliminates processing losses. So in terms of price, it is much lower than machining. However, the performance of castings is not good, and it is not recommended to be used in some important working conditions. In addition, the jaws of the castings are prone to fall off under high-speed or high-load conditions.
